Hiawatha, IA (August 19th, 2009) Crystal Group Inc., a veteran-owned small business, designer and manufacturer of rugged, commercial-off- the-shelf (COTS) custom-developed computers, displays, switches, and storage devices announced today superior test results from their TCM1 (Tactical Computing Module).
Crystal Group has tested a configuration of their TCM1 model for electromagnetic compatibility when operating in close proximity to other sensitive electronic equipment. The TCM1 was designed for embedded shipboard, airborne, and land-based applications.
MIL-STD-461F testing performed at LF Research EMC facility exceeded performance expectations by passing the test requirements with significant margin. "The recent successful EMI testing of the TCM1 was no surprise to me. It shares the same high-tech design as our already successful SS11 sealed server, which is also MIL-STD-461E, MIL-STD- 1275D, and MIL-STD-704E compliant. I can say without a doubt that Crystal Group definitely has core competencies in the area of rugged embedded computing", commented Crystal Group's Senior Systems Engineer, Matt Soukup.
In environments where performance, ruggedness, compact size and reliability are imperative, the TCM1 is an ideal fit. The TCM1 offers extended capability with a temperature range of -40°C up to 65°C (-40°F to 141°F) and a 12V/24V DC power option that is MIL- STD-461, MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-1275 compliant. The TCM1 is available with the Intel® Core 2 Duo/ Core Solo processor. This short depth (12.75 inches) module features up to two rotational or solid state 2.5" SATA II HDDs and an expansion option of one mini PCle slot and one mini PCI slot.
As always, each Crystal product comes with a standard three-year warranty. On-site, next day and extended warranties are available. Configuration Management is also available upon request.
