Crystal Group joins the Dexter Apache Holdings Inc. family
Hiawatha, IA (August 2, 2011) – Crystal Group Inc., designer and manufacturer of rugged, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) custom-designed computers, displays, networking devices, embedded systems, and storage devices, is pleased to announce they have joined the family of companies formed by Dexter Apache Holdings, Inc.
Dexter Apache Holdings, Inc. an Iowa based company with diverse interests in manufacturing, financial services and distribution has acquired 100% of the interests of Crystal Group, Inc. The acquisition of Crystal further diversifies Dexter Apache Holdings portfolio of companies and leverages it’s competencies as a manufacturer of high quality, highly engineered products. Patrick D. Albregts, President and CEO of Dexter Apache Holdings, Inc. commented, “We are extremely pleased to have Crystal Group, Inc. join our family of companies. Crystal will serve as an important growth engine for Dexter Apache Holdings and allow us to leverage a number of important synergies between our companies while adding further diversification to our business. Crystal Group will remain headquartered in Hiawatha, Iowa. Scott Kongable, President, will continue to lead the business. Craig Jensen, Chairman and CEO will retire. Jensen commented, “I am very happy to have partnered with Dexter Apache Holdings as it will allow all Crystal employees to become owners in the business and ensure that Crystal remains a vibrant and successful part of the Hiawatha business community”. All core competencies, business models, product lines and development, and staffing will remain unchanged. “We are confident this opportunity will help to propel Crystal Group and our employees to the next level of growth and prosperity,” comments Scott Kongable.
