Crystal ruggedized Cisco compatible switches and routers are designed to
give users increased functionality in rugged environments.

These rugged networking appliances are available in a 19" rack or transit case EIA form factor, are light weight at 9 - 48 lbs (4.8 - 21.77 kg) and short depth at 12.25"- 20". These rugged networking appliances feature all aluminum construction using 6061T-651 strain hardened structural aircraft aluminum, 0.187 to 0.375" thick cross-sections and MIL-C-5541E Class 3 Chem Film Protection. Ruggedization attributes include shock and vibe survivability through multiple attachment points on circuit boards to stabilize PWB, all fasteners and connectors are retained with locking mechanisms and all cables are dressed and secured to prevent chafing. Crystal ruggedized switches, firewalls, and routers are designed for extended temperature ranges: -15^oC to +55^oC; offer basic routing protocols: RIPv1, RIPv2, RIPng, and Static along with advanced routing protocols: OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, IS-ISv4, BGPv4. They support IPv6 routing, are compatible with Cisco^® and 3Com Technology -- allowing multiple units to be integrated into a single logical unit addressable with a single IP address, and offer plug and play functionality. Management is performed by Cisco^® or 3Com compatible software.
