RCS4900M – Rugged 2U Managed Switch — 8 wire-speed 10Gb Ethernet ports and 2 half-slots

· Designed to MIL-STD 810F and MIL-S-901D
· 18" depth

The RCS4900M offers extended capability with shock/vibe rating of 3 GRMS in combined wheeled vehicle and aircraft profiles, a temperature range of –15oC up to 55oC (5 to137oF) and multiple power options. The RCS4900M is available with wire-speed Layer2+ Ethernet switching with 320 Gbps and 250 million packets per second (mpps) of aggregate capacity in 2RU. Also offered is the standard 8-port (2:1) 10 Gigabit Ethernet (X2) and two (2) half-slots—that can be populated with any combination of the following:  20-port wire-speed 10/100/1000 (RJ-45) half-card, 4-port wire-speed 10 Gigabit Ethernet (X2) , and/or another 8-port (2:1) 10 Gigabit Ethernet (X2) half-card (TwinGig Converter Module compatible). The RCS4900M supports IPv6 routing, utilizes Cisco® compatible switch stacking interconnect technology, and Cisco TwinGig Converter Module support. Management is performed by Cisco® compatible software.

All Crystal products are designed and being tested to meet MIL-STDs 810F, 167-1, 461E, and 901D requirements. As always, each Crystal product comes with a standard three-year warranty. On-site, next day and extended warranties are available. Configuration Management is also available upon request.

Switch Technology

Crystal RCS4900M

The Crystal RCS4900M switch is designed as a top-of-rack access layer switch for use with rack-optimized servers. The Crystal RCS4900M is purpose-built as a top-of-rack switch and delivers the buffering, latency and performance characteristics necessary to excel in that role.

The Crystal RCS4900M is a two-rack-unit (2RU) top-of-server rack Ethernet switch optimized for 10/100/1000 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet access devices. It is unique in the top-of-rack space because it is semi-fixed. This flexibility provides a cost-effective and modular migration path from Gigabit Ethernet to 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
