Jim joined Crystal Group in January 2006 as vice president of Engineering. In 2011, he became executive vice president of Engineering. As the head of the Engineering and Quality departments, Jim oversees all product design, development and test standards, technology innovation, and quality management.
Jim’s innovative design prowess pioneered the rugged server chassis used to deliver seamless performance in harsh edge environments for the military and industrial computing markets. The company expanded on this industry-changing technology to expand into its current array of high-performance compute solutions.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. Prior to joining Crystal Group, Jim was an Engineering manager at Rockwell Collins where he was a three-time Rockwell Collins Engineer of the Year nominee for his work in high-performance electronics packaging. He has authored or co-authored 10 international patents.
