Hardware Sanitize Module Executes Key Wipe and Block Erase With or Without Power

Cybersecurity is a rapidly growing priority across many industries and environments. When it comes to operating at the edge, cyber protections are more than a priority, they are essential components of daily operations, safety and security. A looming, critical need to having a comprehensive edge cyber strategy—shared by both the public and private sectors—is the ability to wipe sensitive information from fielded compute equipment quickly and irreversibly. This challenge is further exacerbated when the system is unpowered. This paper details an innovative approach to key wipe and block erase SSD storage in an UNPOWERED or powered state.
