Hiawatha, Iowa, USA – Crystal Group Inc., a trusted manufacturing partner of rugged commercial-off- the-shelf (COTS) custom-developed computers, displays, switches, and storage devices, announced today that along with its exclusive Australian partner Metromatics Pty Ltd, the company has made its first sale to Australia’s Defense Science and Technology Organization (DTSO).
The first units sold include the company’s RCS24G8XI Rugged Managed Switch, RS112 Rugged Server and the RE0412 Rugged Embedded Computer.
“With Metromatics, we are expanding our range in the field of broad international markets,” said Crystal Group Business Development Manager Melissa Trace. “Crystal Group recently renewed its contact with Metromatics as an exclusive reseller of its products to all companies, government agencies and other entities in Australia and New Zealand.”

DTSO will receive Crystal Group’s ruggedized devices with attributes including shock and vibration survivability through field proven ruggedization techniques. Crystal Group excels at modifying COTS hardware to operate reliably within extremely challenging environments.
